Sheaffe Family Reunion 2008, Lismore & Goonengerry, NSW
| A fabulous weekend of reunion, reuniting, first
meetings, genealogical information & fun was had on 4th & 5th October
2008 in Lismore & Goonengerry on the NSW Far North Coast. |

| It started with the more formal gathering on Saturday
afternoon at Lismore City Hall, featuring the official launch of Stephen
Sheaffe's book Sheaffe Family History Second Edition by the local
Historical Society representative. We enjoyed a lovely dinner followed
by anecdotal stories of various family tales & lines. These are recorded
on video & will be available on DVD one day. |
| On Sunday we gathered at Goonengerry Public School,
which was built on land first owned by the Sheaffe family in that area,
& where my generation's parents & several of my cousins started their
schooling several weeks ago. This was an informal picnic style
gathering, with games for the kids & adults alike. You will enjoy the
photos & video of this one! A yummy lunch, lots of play time & chatter,
& we all went home tired but happy. |
